TERMS & CONDITIONS

Any person taking part in activity must read, agree and accept the ‘terms and conditions’ before the reservation is confirmed’. This will take the form of a signed contract between the customer and ‘Terralpina’.

  1. All activities and courses available on this website will be led by qualified professionals. Nonetheless, our professionals are members of the following associations: AEGM/SNAM, UIMLA and/or UIAGM/IFMGA.
  2. It is the guide’s choice to cancel or modify any given activity when bad weather conditions apply. It is also the guide´s responsibility to ensure every person taking part in the activity has the right physical condition to be part of it. If this wasn´t the case, the guide will be allowed to modify or cancel the activity.
  3. The guide will not be made responsible in cases of misconduct, disobedience or wrongful use of participants’ materials.
  4. Once the activity has started, no refund will be made if the customer for whatever reason decides to stop or cancel a part of the planned activity or the whole activity.
  5. Misbehaviour or any type of abuse towards any member of the group or towards the natural environment will be enough reason to cancel the activity. In these cases, no refund will be made.
  6. It is the participant´s obligation to inform our guide regarding any health issues, previous injuries, allergies or any condition that may pose a risk for the participant when carrying out any of the activities. Furthermore, the participant should not be under the effect of any drug, substance or medication that may alter the participant´s ability to respond.
  7. Mountaineering always comes with a risk. This must accepted by the participant and it is the guide´s duty to minimize such a risk. The guide will not be made responsible if the participants do not follow his/her instructions.
  8. The participant will need either to get a travel insurance that covers the activity they are going to be part of. The cover must include search, rescue and recovery, repatriation, and medical expenses  ; or to be a member of a Mountaineering Federation (eg. British Mountaineering Council) with a type C (Europe) or D (worldwide) membership.
  9. Transfer to the meeting point must be arranged by the customer.
  10. Unaccompanied minors must provide an authorization signed by their parents or carers.
  11. The participant will be made responsible for the loss or deterioration due to negligence or misuse of the material provided by the guide, and if so would need to pay for it
    after the activity.
  12. All expenses of the guide and participants, including cable cars, shelters,
    transfers, maintenance, etc. will be borne by the participants, unless
    otherwise indicated.
  13. For Terralpina to publish photos of the activities on Social Networks (Facebook,
    Instagram, Twitter…) or on their website,
    participants must previously grant their consent.

PAYMENTS:

  1. All reservations must be made through the website or by mail and will be formalized by filling out and signing a registration form for each of the participants.
  2. Prices shown in our websites are in € and includes a 21% VAT. Prices are per person unless stated otherwise. 
  3. Payment method will be bank transfer.
  4. General contracting conditions and the activity contract will be automatically accepted at the time the completed registration form is sent and the payment is made.
  5. Once the registration form for the reservation is sent, the following amounts must be paid to finalize the booking. The times shown are from the first day of your activity.

    • 4 months in advance or more: 10% of the total will be paid when the reservation is made. A 40% of the total must be paid at least 90 days before the start of the activity. The outstanding amount must be paid 30 days before the start of the activity.
    • Menos de 4 meses de antelación y hasta 30 días: se abonará el 40% del importe total cuando se haga la reserva. 30 días antes del comienzo de la actividad deberá estar abonado el 100%.
    • If you book your activity 30 days or less before the start of it, full payment will be required when booking.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  1. The participant may cancel the contracted services, but will be subjected to the following charges:
    • 10% of the total amount if cancelled up to 90 days before the beginning of the activity for management and reservation expenses, plus the payment for the reservation of shelters and other services.
    • 40% of the total amount if cancelled between 60 and 30 days before the beginning of the activity.
    • 100% of the total amount if cancelled within 30 days of the beginning or during of the activity.
  1. Participants failure to turn up at the place and time agreed for the activity will imply the cancellation of the activity and no refund will be made.
  2. The activity begins at the moment the guide arrives at the meeting point.
  3. If the guide decides to cancel the activity due to safety concerns or weather conditions, an alternative activity will be carried out if possible. If it’s impossible to carry on with the alternative activity, the amount paid will be refunded (except for the costs of shelter reservation) or the dates rearranged
  4. It is highly recommended to take a cancellation insurance to cover expenses in case the participant has to cancel the activity.
